This visionary project, spearheaded by an investment of €4 Million allocated by Parliament to the Grand Harbour Regeneration Corporation, has breathed new life into the historic space. During the inauguration ceremony, House Speaker, Dr. Anglu Farrugia, highlighted the meticulous attention to detail exercised throughout the project to preserve the architectural integrity of the site, which holds historical significance as the starting point of the former railway service.

A significant portion of the investment was dedicated to establishing an extensive archives section, housing documents dating as far back as 1845. Additionally, a dedicated reference library has been established, along with designated spaces for committee meetings and informal gatherings for Members of Parliament.

Moreover, the project encompasses the provision of new office spaces for Parliamentary staff tasked with overseeing the operations of the new facilities. Furthermore, state-of-the-art electronic scanners have been procured to ensure the preservation and accessibility of historical documents for generations to come.
